Born in Haina, she was a retired waitress for the Mauna Kea Westin, a teacher’s aide for Honokaa Elementary School, and was a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa, the Honokaa Saranay Club, the ILWU Pensioners’ Club, the Seniors Nutrition Center, Honokaa Salvation Army and Home League and volunteer at Hale Ho’ola Hamakua Long Term Care Facility.
